Wendy Ludovici

I began serving with ELI in July 1994. At that time I lived and served near Mwanza, Tanzania. I worked with the Kisukuma people in that area, promoting indigenous worship and raising up community based youth ministries which were called NYUMBA YA YESU (Kiswahili for “HOUSE OF JESUS”). In 1996 I moved to Nairobi, Kenya to teach music communication at Daystar University until February 1999. I also traveled regularly to the ELI Kenya training centers to facilitate worship and songwriting workshops, as well as youth ministry seminars.

Since July 2001, I have been living just outside of Nairobi in the community called Karen/Langata. My present responsibilities with ELI involve regular travel to the Eastern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo. This is where I assist with the development of both the rural and urban centers of ELI Congo. I attend the Karen Vineyard Church where I lead the youth and worship ministry. I also serve with the Association of Vineyard Churches in Eastern and Central Africa, serving Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Using ELI values and vision, I have pioneered the development of an initiative providing leadership for empowering projects needed to support pastors and their families as they plant churches, particularly in poor areas. I facilitate songwriting workshops throughout East and Central Africa for the promotion of indigenous worship. In addition, I teach private music lessons in the Nairobi area and head the instrumental music department at the West Nairobi School.
