Tim Trier

Born in a suburb of Chicago, I transplanted to Southern California in 1980. For the past fifteen years, I have worked with large corporations in sales, marketing, and advertising. After my wife Jervaun and I found our true passion in serving God in 2001, we both committed our time and talents to His endeavors, serving in our church and in various ministry capacities. Jervaun has been trained as a speech-pathologist and is now using her gifts of public speaking, writing/editing, hospitality, and event coordinating to help me in my development work for ELI.

So why ELI? At a lunch with our pastor in 2002, Jervaun and I heard about a dynamic ministry in Africa. A seed was planted in our hearts, but the opportunity to use our gifts in ELI’s ministry was yet to be discovered. In 2006, God confirmed that I would be part of a ministry in the East. At that time, I thought “East” was the next city over, Lake Elsinore. But today that “East” is clearly Africa.

Jervaun and I, both passionate about providing a voice for the needy and oppressed in East Africa, communicate ELI’s mission and vision with individuals and groups in order to expand the growing network of supporting partners and churches.
