In the past, my children were unhappy because I could not pay for their school fees, but now things are beginning to change. My name is Agnes. I am married with five children. Last year when I joined the Alcoholics Anonymous program, I did not realize my life would change so drastically. In one year, I have stopped brewing, selling and drinking alcohol and have accepted Jesus as my personal Savior. Now, I am making envelopes for the Paper Project, and my children have returned to school. I am very grateful for the work that I am doing, and my family’s life is improving.
When I joined the Alcoholics Anonymous program one year ago, I was looking for a solution to my problem of alcoholism, and that is exactly what I found. My name is Selly, I am married with six children. We live in a small grass-thatched roof home in the village of Kipchamo where there is no electricity or running water. The solution I found was in Jesus. I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior, and financially I have an income through the Paper Project. God is so good, and we praise Him for His blessings.
My name is Christine, and I am saved. I live in the village of Kipchamo with my husband and six children who are from the ages of one to 21. In 2001, I joined the Alcoholics Anonymous program in our location, and that is where I became saved. Along with this, I was introduced to making envelopes, which has tremendously helped my family. I need your prayers as I continue in this work and as I continue in the Lord.
Being a mother of six children is often difficult, because I seldom know how I am going to feed them. My name is Mary, I am 38-years-old, married and live with my six children in a small one bedroom home. I used to struggle to feed my family, but God has answered my prayers through the Paper Project. From the income that I am receiving from making envelopes, I am able to supply my family with basic necessities such as clothes, sugar and soap. Thank you for your assistance; we can feel it over here in Kenya.
I knew that drinking and brewing alcohol was not good, but I did not feel that I had a way out of it. My name is Zeddy, 24-years-old, and I am married with two children. Now I have hope and found the Way out of alcoholism. When I joined the Alcoholics Anonymous program, I did not know that so many blessings would arise. I am now making envelopes, and, with the income I receive, helping to provide food for my family. I feel that I have been restored once again through the Paper Project. Thank you for your help to me in coming out of alcoholism.
I am young, but my life has been filled with problems. My name is Ceciliah, I am 25-years-old, married and a mother of two children. I used to drink and to cause dissension in my family, but, through the Alcoholics Anonymous program, I am free of that sin I once lived in. Now, I am making envelopes, instead of swallowing the money I earn in my own selfishness like I used to do. Through the project, I am able to buy food and milk for my family. Please remember me in your prayers as my family struggles to improve our life.
Day after day, I drank away my family’s income, but my life has changed now. My name is Prisca, 24-years-old, and I am married with two children. We live in a small home with a grass-thatched roof in the village of Plateau without electricity or running water. My life has changed because of the Alcoholics Anonymous program and also because of the Paper Project. Through making envelopes, I am able to help my family live a better life and to put the income towards the many things we need. I thank God for saving me from the life I used to live, and I ask for your prayers as we journey down our lives together.
My husband passed away and my seven children daily rely on me to provide for them. My name is Grace, I am 47-years-old and live with my children in the village of Kipchamo in a small home with a grass-thatched roof without electricity or running water. After joining the Alcoholics Anonymous group last year, I realized that I needed help, and that is when I accepted Jesus. Since then, I left alcohol and am now making envelopes for the Paper Project, which is directly helping my family and me. I am now able to buy my children clothes, put food on the table and provide their school fees. Thank you for your help as we progress in our life.
My name is Jane Mursoy, and I have come out of the darkness of alcohol and into the light of Jesus. I am married with two children, and we live in a small home in the village of Soroiyot. Since leaving alcohol, I am making paper for the Paper Project, and it has helped me tremendously. It has helped me to stay away from the temptation of alcohol, to raise my children well, to pay school fees for my children and to buy them the necessary clothes. Since there is no other way right now of earning an income, I am so grateful for the opportunity to make this paper.
