Alcohol used to rule my life, but now I have victory through the blood of Jesus. My name is Ruth, I am 29-years-old, married and a mother of five children. I live in the village of Kipchamo in a small grass-thatched roof without electricity or running water. In the dry season, you can find me carrying basins of water on my head so that I can cook and wash clothes for my family. Also, you will find me making envelopes for the Paper Project. After leaving alcohol, I began making envelopes, and my life is progressing well. Thank you for your kind assistance in helping my family.
My name is Pamela, I am 19-years-old, married and a mother of three children. Because I only completed my education through 8th grade, it is difficult for me to find work. That is the reason why I am so happy while I am making envelopes for the Paper Project. I thank the Lord for the good things that He has given to me through this project. When I am given a work, I take it seriously. May God bless you as you help our lives.
I live in problems, because I don’t have parents and my family depends on me. My name is Violah, and I am 18-years-old. I used to brew alcohol because I thought it was helping my younger siblings to be able to go to school, but now I see that it was causing many problems. I have left the life of brewing alcohol and have been set free by the blood of Jesus. Now, I am making envelopes for the Paper Project, and God is helping me be able to help my younger siblings. We are selling vegetables from our garden, but that income does not cover the expenses we have. Therefore, I am very grateful for this project and that I am now able to give my brothers and sisters a good life.
My name is Zenah, and I am saved. I live in the village of Chebaiywa, and I am a single mother. Life at times is difficult for me, but I trust the Lord’s faithfulness. I have seen His faithfulness particularly through the Paper Project in little and big ways. When I began making envelopes for the Paper Project, my prayers began to be answered. With the income that I have earned, I have been able to buy a sheep, which will help me in the future as I hope to begin a business. Thank you very much for the Paper Project, and may God bless you.
My name is Sally, and I am saved. These days you can find me at the Kipkaren River Training Center as I diligently stamp envelopes, but last year I did not have any work and my family was constantly struggling to make ends meet. Now, I praise God for the work of stamping envelopes that others have made out of recycled paper. I use two stamps: one stamp is a zebra print and the other is a giraffe print. I enjoy doing my work, and my true joy is found when I know that I can provide for my family. Thank you for your help.
My name is Ramadhani, and I am 45-years-old. I am married with five children between the ages of five-years-old and 12-years-old. We live in a small mud home with a grass-thatched roof in the rural village of Emgoin without electricity or running water. I began making envelopes for the Paper Project, and I have been tremendously helped because of this project. I am now able to help my family buy the basic household necessities that we need, and I am able to pay for my children’s school fees. Thus, they are able to have an education now! Thank you for your help.
My name is Esther, and I am saved. I am married and have nine children between the ages of four-years-old and 22-years-old. At times it is difficult to feed eleven people, but God has been faithful through the Paper Project. I am making envelopes and the income I receive from those envelopes is bringing hope to my family. I am now able to put my children back into school, because I can pay for the school fees! Also, the income I receive is going towards other projects around our home and to basic household needs such as salt, sugar and soap. I have truly been blessed through this project…thank you!
