Veronica

Veronica’s story began in a village in Migori County, where opportunities were limited and life was often shaped by difficult circumstances. She was unable to complete primary school, and at a young age she was married and became a mother of three. What should have been a hopeful new season soon became filled with hardship, instability, and even abuse.

After facing many challenges in her marriage, Veronica made the courageous decision to leave and start over in a new city for the sake of her children, choosing uncertainty over continued harm.

Life in the city was not easy. With limited education and no formal employment opportunities, she took on whatever work she could find. She washed clothes, cleaned homes, and did manual jobs just to provide a basic living. But even in those challenging days, Veronica had a quiet determination to save small amounts, and a bigger vision in mind.

Eventually, she took a bold step and started a small business selling second-hand T-shirts. It was modest, but it was hers.

Her journey took a transformative turn when she joined the Business for Life training.
For the first time, she began to see her business not just as a means of survival, but as a vehicle for growth!

Today, her business is thriving in Kawangware. What began as a small side business has grown into a stable and promising source of income for her family. Along the way, Veronica herself has grown too, becoming more confident, resilient, and hopeful about what lies ahead.

“The training opened my eyes,” she shares. “I now see possibilities where I only saw problems before.” Veronica’s journey is not just about business success, it is about courage and the power of opportunity. From a life marked by hardship, she has built a future defined by purpose and hope.

Her journey reminds us that with the right support and opportunity, transformation is possible no matter where someone startsand because of partners like you, stories like hers don’t end in hardship, but in hope!
