Meet Fidely Wafula, an incredible young man living in our Kipkaren Children’s Home. Fidely’s life has been far from easy, but he is living proof that God can turn all things for good! After his parents tragically passed away just three years apart, Fidely was taken in by his aunt, a single parent of two children. Although she did everything she could to provide for Fidely, she knew that assistance would be necessary in order to give him the best life possible. This is when ELI stepped in!

In 2017, when Fidely was 7 years old, he was welcomed into our Kipkaren Children’s Home with open arms. Since then, his life has changed completely! With a forever family of loving parents and siblings surrounding him, Fidely has been able to transform from a timid child into a courageous young man of God. Now in Junior High at Brook of Faith Academy, he has excelled in his studies and has shown he is a truly gifted, respectful, and goal-oriented student. He is also a part of the track and field team, where his God-given talents are able to shine. In a recent race, his performance even earned him a place among the school’s top athletes! 

Outside of the classroom, Fidely is just as passionate. He loves to play games with his brothers and sisters, spend quality time with his house parents, grow in his personal relationship with the Lord, and even show off his amazing dance moves! Fidely has also shown a special interest in farming and agriculture, which will prove to be a great asset to him in the future. 

We are truly in awe of how God has taken a once-orphaned child and given him a life he never thought possible. Fidely is so thankful for this transformation as well, which is evident in his own words: “I am so grateful to ELI and to my sponsors for their support. I pray that God guides me to work hard and make them proud! May He bless them abundantly on my behalf.”
