Daniel Kipruto, one of our beloved kids from the Kipkaren Children's Home, is living proof that God can rewrite anyone’s story, no matter how impossible it may seem. Daniel grew up with a single mother, Dinah, who loved her children immensely. She worked tirelessly in order to care for them, even through years of battling Tuberculosis and Leukemia. Tragically she lost this battle in 2017, leaving her children, including Daniel, to the care of her eldest daughter. With no assistance from their extended family, Daniel’s sister struggled to make ends meet, leaving them hopeless and heartbroken. Daniel's life seemed devoid of hope . . . but his prayers for change would soon be answered.

After hearing about Daniel's situation from others in the community, the ELI Children's Home team decided to pay him and his siblings a visit. When they arrived, it quickly became evident that Daniel needed additional support. Then, God made a way for Daniel and his sister Leah to be welcomed into the Kipkaren forever family! Daniel was finally able to receive what had been missing from his life for so long, including house parents who loved him like he was their own, access to a quality education where he could discover his God-given talents, and a stable environment that would allow him to grow into a confident young man.

Now, Daniel is 9 years old and in 3rd grade at Brook of Faith Academy. There, he is learning not only the basics of subjects like math and reading, but how to be the best version of himself he can be! He has gone from a quiet boy who couldn’t picture his future at all, to a shining light of hope who is making commendable progress in all areas of life. Outside of school, Daniel absolutely adores playing football with his friends. The sound of laughter and the sight of their smiling faces show that this is a cherished part of their daily routine! 

In just a few years, Daniel has blossomed in ways he never thought possible. The transformation in his life is nothing short of extraordinary! With the unwavering support of the ELI Children's Home and the opportunities provided by Brook of Faith Academy, Daniel's future is filled with endless possibilities. We believe that God has marvelous plans in store for Daniel, and we can’t wait to see his rewritten story continue to unfold.
