Elisha Kiprop, one of our beloved kids from the Kipkaren Children's Home, is living proof that no matter what obstacles we face in life, God’s perfect plan will prevail as we trust in Him! A major turning point in Elisha’s life happened after graduating high school in 2014. Facing many unexpected challenges, obstacles, and setbacks, he struggled to succeed in college. After months of feeling like his goal of graduation was out of reach, Elisha was left feeling helpless and discouraged. Eventually, with the support of his parents and mentors, Elisha decided to leave school for an extended period to redefine the trajectory of his education, which changed everything.

As he began to navigate the hurdles of independent adulthood, Elisha refused to let his educational setbacks determine his future. He was determined to provide for himself, his siblings, and his grandmother despite his past struggles . . . which is exactly what he did! Elisha was given a teaching opportunity at a local primary school, where he not only earned a God-honoring income, but was able to make a difference in his family and community.

Armed with a renewed sense of purpose, confidence, and faith in God’s plan for his life, Elisha was finally ready to return to school. He aspired to become a nurse, a dream that continually burned within him. Before he knew it, the doors of opportunity swung open, promising a second chance and a future in Community Health at St. Elizabeth School of Nursing. This path was an immediate fit and Elisha was filled with excitement day by day as he grew in his medical knowledge and compassion for those around him.

Elisha's story serves as a testament to the strength of relentless determination, the love and support found within the ELI family, and the importance of believing in your God-given potential regardless of your circumstances. As he continues his studies and works toward the graduation he has always dreamed of, Elisha offers motivation for others who may be going through their own educational struggles. We can’t wait to see Elisha reach his goals and continue to change the world!
